I think as a human race we all tend to want to blame everyone else or everything else for the problems in our lives. At some point though, it is a must to accept that the things in your life that are unpleasant may very well be the result of giving in to a temptation or breaking the rules of life. I say this because I see it happen every day in my own life and in those lives around me. I guess I feel like rules are set to protect the human race. Whatever the rule may be, from the Ten Commandments that come straight from God to the laws that are set by each state, the rule is put there with a purpose and with the well-being of the human race in mind. Speeding, for example, is against the law. It is not because someone thought up ways to piss off the public by setting limits on how fast we can drive. Instead, studies and past events have shown that driving too fast for the conditions can lead to an accident. When someone is speeding along and gets caught, a ticket can be the punishment. The same goes with the rule about loving others as we love ourselves. If this rule was followed by more people, the world may be a better place. However, people are pleasure seekers. We want the things the we want rather it is breaking rules or living in sin. It all goes back to indulging in everything that is desired and the outcome of such indulges. Ultimately, when rules are broken or self-indulging is the complete opposite of the morally right way of life, karma is sure to follow.

Just the beginning
I have wanted to start my own blogs for quite some time now but never made the time. As my life is constantly changing, I am trying to keep up with the pace. I figured since I am not getting any younger, I might as well go ahead and mark something else off my list of things I would like to do. I have kept a journal most of my life. While I have not kept any type of consistency, I found that even writing every now and then can be just as therapeutic. I am among the population that battles with insomnia. With that being said, I have also discovered that writing in my journal can actually be soothing when I am suffering from another sleepless night. I kind of think of those sleepless nights as a great opportunity to get things done. After all, some of the greatest minds in history belonged to those who also experienced insomnia. How else would they have been able to accomplish so much?
I am unsure about the topics in my upcoming blogs. I do know that blogging will not be a place for me to bash specific people in my life, to whine about my specific problems, or to tell my whole life history as if I am writing an autobiography. My blogs may be able life topics, controversial topics, ranting on a certain topic, or simply stating the things that are my mind at that very moment. I do not expect everyone to agree or disagree with anything I say. I am aware that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I do hope that at least at some point one person reads something I have written and can relate in some way.
Enjoy!
